This year, we’re looking forward to seeing you in a number of cities across France. 🚀
Autism Conference - Innovation & New Technologies
In Saint-Brieuc on March 29 and 30, Adapei Nouelles CĂ´tes d’Armor is organizing a symposium on “innovations and new technologies at the heart of support for people with autism or DLD”.
Â
In the national strategy for autism within neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), the first commitment made is to “put science back at the heart of public policy”. The challenges to be met are considerable, and the different areas of work set out in the strategy will be present during this high point in the region.
The two days will focus on three main questions:
- How can innovation and new technologies be an opportunity or even an asset for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders?
- How can we recognize the advantages and opportunities for a company to include people with ASD?
- What challenges will we have to meet to support caregivers in this upheaval of practices?
Ethical questioning in the field of innovation and new technologies will be the common thread running through the discussions.
Throughout the symposium, researchers, developers and users will be presenting the results of their work and their applications. Testimonials from people with autism will shed light on these issues.

The Unapei congress
See you on June 9, 10 and 11 in Montpellier. The theme of this year’s congress is quality of life, the driving force behind social innovation.
At a time when societal changes are prompting us to transform our support models for people with disabilities, how can we influence the changes underway? How can we innovate by proposing viable models that take into account the quality of life of individuals, families and professionals?
Aiming for a supportive and inclusive society is a motivating factor and the logical continuation of the fight waged by the pioneers of the Unapei network. This development also entails the risk of disorganizing the sector, with the possible consequence of reducing people’s quality of life.
In-home support, caregiver support, system operation and the need for cooperation and coordination between multiple players raise a series of fundamental questions about practical arrangements, needs assessment and funding…
These are just some of the open issues we’ll be exploring during the various round tables at the Unapei 2022 congress.
